Welcome to Southeastern Indiana Gastroenterology, LLC

What is a Gastroenterologist?

A gastroenterologist is a physician who specializes in disorders and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. Most gastroenterologists are board certified in the subspecialty. After completing the same training as all other physicians, gastroenterologists study for an additional two years to train specifically in conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. Our training includes the traditional and modern technical skills of evaluating digestive and liver diseases, as well as gastrointestinal endoscopy. We treat diseases that effect the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, biliary system, pancreas, small and large intestines, and the rectum.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?

A nurse practitioner is a registered professional nurse. Through advanced formal education, they are able to provide a wide range of health care services to our patients. Nurse practitioners are skilled in physical examinations and the treatment and management of many common health problems, both acute and chronic.
